ABOUT

Krista

Mind…Body…Spirit
What does this really mean? What is the connection? Can you have one without the others? You cannot truly thrive until all three are in alignment.

I came to yoga after experiencing many overuse injuries, experienced during my Marine Corps service, and discovered the path that has lead me to discovery of how all three are connected and how we are connected to each other. What I discovered was not just an alternative fitness modality but a new world that has opened me up to overall health, wellness, energetic healing and the existence of….more.

After graduating from the Nosara Yoga Institute - Evolve Yoga & Wellness 200 hour Interdisciplinary Yoga Teacher Training (IYTT) training, my drive to better personal health and wellness grew into a consistent yoga and meditation practice, energetic healing by becoming a Reiki Master, closer relationships, a better work-life balance and a passion to share this discovery with others so that they may also grow and thrive.

My follow-on training and studies includes becoming a Tier I certified Instructor with more than 300 hours of Baptiste Power Yoga training, for the more adventurous and vigorous practice seekers, and Warriors at Ease ®, dedicated to the military community, to integrate and share the vast benefits that yoga can bring to military service members outside of just fitness and injury prevention.

The sum of these programs bring specializations that appeal to athletes, military members and varying levels of students that are searching for physical strength and power, as well as adaptive practices for all needs, meditation and trauma sensitivity.

You can find me virtually through Zoom, for groups, as well as private one on one sessions to fit your schedule.

Ana

New York born, Bolivian at heart; I lived most of my life in Bolivia, little known landlocked country in South America. A Spanish and English speaker, I was raised under old traditions, customs and beliefs of God and country. My childhood upbringing included rice, potatoes and bread (I know!), the Andes mountains (22,838 ft above sea level), Lake Titicaca and the famous Salar de Uyuni (largest Salt Flats in the world), among many other natural wonders of the world.

Living abroad allowed me to appreciate the simpler things in life that we, as Americans, take for granted. Healthy living was a priority in our home that was set by my grandmother’s homemade Bolivian cooking and my Irish-American father's Irish stews.

In 2007 I moved back to the US seeking my calling, after having studied law in Bolivia and getting a job with the Department of Homeland Security. It wasn’t until experiencing a back injury, which lead to countless visits to doctors, physical therapists and pain management that I made the decision to seek alternatives to traditional medicine. I was not finding the relief that I was seeking until, out of the blue, I was introduced to a more holistic approach to living...and the rest is history.

Through a balanced holistic approach to my health and healing, my passion is ignited!

Now as a Reiki Master teacher, Reflexologist, Intuitive and Crystal Practitioner I have awakened my desire to teach and empower others through the use of alternative methods, by giving them the ability to harness the tools found within themselves.

* Due to COVID-19 and the social distancing requirements, our current services are not offered in person. We are currently offering Yoga and Life Coaching one on one, through Zoom, as well as Distant Reiki Sessions.
